Çakmak represented the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in its USD 50 million loan to Esan.

We are proud to have represented The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in a USD 50 million financing to Esan Eczacıbaşı Endüstriyel Hammaddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a subsidiary of Eczacıbaşı Holding operating in the mining sector. This transaction aims to support the decarbonization and electrification of mining operations, improvements in the operations’ efficiency and renewable energy projects at Esan’s Balya lead-zinc-copper mine located in Balıkesir, Türkiye.

The Çakmak team was led by partner Devrim Ergun and included counsels Aslı Pabuççuoğlu and Nazlı Başak Ayık, together with associates Yasin Bilen, Salih Kartal, Pınar Bölükbaşıoğlu and Nehar Çakmakcı.
