Çakmak acted as Turkish counsel in Akbank’s $600 Million sustainable syndicate loan renewal.

We are pleased to announce that we have acted as local Turkish counsel to a syndicate of 45 banks from 20 countries on the renewal of Akbank’s sustainable syndicated loan for USD 600 million. The transaction is structured to allocate the proceeds according to Akbank’s Sustainable Finance Framework, which is an important development for syndicated loans in the Turkish banking sector.
